Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most

How much does wisdom tooth removal cost?+

The cost varies depending on the complexity: a simple tooth is not the same as a retained one that requires surgery. That is why we evaluate your case first and give you a written quote before we start — no surprises. We offer up to 6 interest-free installments with card and a discount for cash payment. Contact us on WhatsApp to find out more.

How long is the recovery after an extraction?+

The most intense discomfort lasts between 2 and 4 days, manageable with pain relievers. Most of our patients return to their normal office routine the next day, and between 48 and 72 hours for physical work. We give you detailed instructions when you leave the surgery.

Does the surgery hurt?+

During the surgery you will not feel pain thanks to local anesthesia. You may feel pressure or movement, but not pain. After the anesthesia wears off there may be some discomfort, which is perfectly managed with the pain relievers we prescribe.

When is it necessary to remove wisdom teeth?+

When they are retained or semi-erupted with recurrent infections, when they put pressure on neighboring teeth, or when they cause persistent pain or swelling. If they are well positioned and you can clean them properly, extraction is often not necessary. We assess this with a panoramic X-ray.

Do all 4 wisdom teeth need to be removed?+

Not necessarily. Each case is different. We can extract the ones causing problems and leave the ones that are well positioned and cleanable. The specialist determines which ones require intervention at the initial consultation.

What can I eat after surgery?+

For the first 24 to 48 hours, eat soft and cold foods: yogurt, puree, cold soups, smoothies. Avoid hot, hard or foods that require a lot of chewing. From the third day you can gradually incorporate more solid foods depending on how you are healing.

Do you offer financing for surgery?+

Yes. We accept up to 6 interest-free installments with credit card and Mercado Pago. We also have a special discount for cash payment. The quote is in writing and the price is what we agree on before we start.
