Frequently asked questions

What patients ask most

Do veneers hurt?+

No. The procedure is minimally invasive. The minor enamel reduction is done under local anaesthetic and causes no discomfort. Placement doesn't hurt either. Some patients experience mild sensitivity for the first few days, which goes away on its own.

How long do porcelain veneers last?+

With good care, between 10 and 20 years. They don't wear down or lose their shine over time. The lithium disilicate we use is one of the most durable materials available today. It's important to avoid biting hard objects and to use a night guard if you have bruxism.

Porcelain or composite veneers — which is right for me?+

It depends on your case and budget. Porcelain (disilicate) is more durable, more stain-resistant and looks more natural. Composite is more affordable and placed in a single session. At the first consultation we advise you without commitment or pressure.

Can veneers be placed without shaving down the tooth?+

In many cases, yes. Ultra-thin (no-prep or minimal-prep) veneers require very little or no enamel reduction. We assess whether you're a candidate at the first consultation depending on tooth position and condition.

How much do veneers cost in Argentina?+

At SISO the price per tooth is $350,000 for composite (or $280,000 cash) and $700,000 for lithium disilicate porcelain (or $560,000 cash). Both options are available in 6 interest-free instalments. The total depends on the number of teeth.

Do veneers stain?+

Porcelain (disilicate) veneers do not. They are highly resistant to staining from coffee, red wine and tobacco. Composite veneers may stain slightly over time, especially with frequent consumption of heavily pigmented drinks.

How many sessions do I need?+

For porcelain veneers, between 3 and 4 sessions over approximately 3 to 4 weeks. For composite veneers, it is usually completed in a single session. The exact time depends on the number of teeth and the complexity of the case.

Is the treatment covered by health insurance?+

Aesthetic treatments like veneers are generally not covered by health insurance. We offer 6 interest-free instalments and a 20% cash discount to make access easier. Contact us about the payment options available.
