The purpose of dentures is to restore the appearance and function that are lost when teeth are missing. To achieve this, according to each particular case either fixed or, as an alternative, removable dentures will be designed.
· Crowns: screw-retained or cement-retained, depending on the health of the tooth root.
· Bridges: when it is necessary to replace more than one tooth, with or without a toothless gap.
A removable denture can be complete or partial, made of acrylic, depending on the presence or absence of teeth. Partial dentures can also contain a metal framework to aid their function, or be flexible for better aesthetics.

Dental veneers are the latest novelty in aesthetic dentistry. Thanks to the evolution of dental materials, veneers have earned an important place in the field. Veneering is a minimally invasive restorative procedure that consists in removing a small amount of tooth enamel and replacing it with a thin layer of porcelain, between 0.3 and 1 mm thick, to correct problems relating to color, shape, size or small deviations in teeth position, achieving an aesthetic, harmonious and healthy smile.
This procedure is completed in 3 to 4 sessions, within the space of a month, and is conducted on patients who, due to old fixes, stained or darkened teeth, trauma or other reasons, are not satisfied with their smile. These patients can choose veneering to obtain their desired smile in less than 30 days. This technique allows us to achieve whiter, more uniform and better-looking teeth.
Veneers do not wear down over time, and they do not lose their shine or change color. Once the treatment is complete, the patient can eat, talk and smile naturally.
Zirconia crowns restore both function and appearance. They are lighter than other alternatives, and the best option when aesthetics is a primary concern.
Night guards are transparent trays made of acrylic and designed to fit the patient’s mouth. The purpose is relaxing the jaw muscles and achieving balance. They are used to treat several disorders, one of the best known and fastest growing these days being BRUXISM. Night guards help prevent teeth erosion and sensitivity, as well as pain in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), which are caused by the involuntary movements made by bruxomaniacs.
The purpose is removing the bacteria that accumulate as a consequence of deficient tooth brushing. A frequency of 1 to 2 cleanings a year is recommended.
Dental surgery at SISO comprises predictable, minimally invasive procedures, thanks to the fact that we use the latest technologies and follow strict biosafety standards.
Smile planning and design is the most highly sought treatment in international dentistry today. It consists in using aesthetic parameters, in close harmony with facial features, to achieve the ideal smile according to the patient’s wishes.
This treatment involves all branches of dentistry, given that when the need is, for example, to correct a gingival smile, or to whiten or reposition a tooth, a combination of different specialties will be required. Therefore, this is a multifaceted discipline that must count on a passionate team of specialists working in coordination and seeking excellence every step of the way.
Root canal treatment, also known as endodontics, is a procedure by which the tooth is saved from extraction thanks to the removal of the infected tissue, followed by cleaning and disinfecting to allow for correct rehabilitation. With this treatment, the tooth is painlessly restored to its chewing and aesthetic functions.
Periodontal disease affects the tissue that supports teeth. Milder cases present swelling and bleeding of gums. Another clear sign of periodontal disease is the appearance of dental tartar, which causes bone loss and, in more severe cases, may even lead to the falling out of teeth.
The purpose of treatment is to control the infection, that is, to eliminate the dental tartar. Depending on the severity of the case, it will involve a deep cleaning of the periodontal pockets followed by root planing, in one or more sessions.
